Motivational speakers are usually employed by business entities to do a “pep talk” to its employees. The talk aims to communicate company strategy with clarity, help employees see the future in a positive light, and inspire workers to be a ‘team’.

Motivational speakers and inspirational speakers can be labelled as both simultaneously, but they are not necessarily interchangeable. The subtle difference between the two is that inspirational speakers often deliver encouraging messages which are sometimes based on stories about overcoming great challenges , with the purpose of getting their audience to ‘think’ and become highly emotional. On the other hand, motivational speakers often deliver a more energetic presentation which aims to compel attendees to want to take immediate and long term action.
